My Journey with Music
Music has been a huge part of my life. It really affects how I feel. It helps me process emotions. Music is a way for me to balance my emotions. It is not that I just listen to music, music connects with my feelings and thoughts. No matter if I am happy, sad, stressed or relaxed there is always a song that connects with my mood.
When I am down or too stressed out, listening to slow music helps me process my thoughts. Slow music calms me down and makes me reflect on my feelings. It’s like the music understands how I feel and so helps me feel better without having to say anything. It makes me feel less alone and a bit more relaxed.
I listen to upbeat music when I am happy or energized. Music like this brings me happiness. It gives me positive energy. Often I sing along, and dance to the beat which just adds fuel to my happiness and energy.
The other thing music is awesome for is blowing off steam. Jogging to some calm music makes me more relaxed and less stressed. It helps me regain that balance, focus, clarity. When I study, sometimes I listen to music as it makes me focus and feel encouraged in what I am doing.
Music is also a reminder of memories and feelings. Few songs are deeply connected with our memories. Listening to those songs brings back past memories. There are different types of music which we listen to according to our mood and emotion. I particularly like soothing and calm music. Some people like classical, traditional music, some like pop or rock music. Music brings people together regardless of their different tastes and interests. This is what makes music more interesting. In this way music is a way to bring different types of people together.
Sometimes I wonder how music has great cultural value. For some people music connects them to their roots. Their traditions are connected to music. Music tells their way of living ,carrying hundreds of years of heritage with important values and morals. They carry these for generations by teaching their children.
Music is part of my life. It helps me in balancing my mood and works as a stress buster during long hours of work. Music is like a true friend that supports me in every moment.
